Interview Tips

  • First impressions are an extremely important part of the interview process. A clean appearance with adequate clothing and shoe apparel is recommended. Avoid extreme hairstyles and choose simple accessories. Also, application of perfume with strong scent should be avoided.
  • Have a complete and accurate profile of your personal information ready. Be prepared to respond to questions regarding the nature of your previous job position, tasks and responsibilities.
  • Arrive to the interview a few minutes before the scheduled time and get acquainted to the environment. Always make sure to greet the receptionist. The interview process starts from the moment you enter the office.
  • Make sure to greet the interviewer with a handshake. Also, sit down only when gestured or instructed to do so. In the interview chair, sit deeply and be sure to present yourself with good posture.
  • Have well thought-out answers in advance to questions that might be asked in order to successfully respond to interview questions. For instance:
    • Reasons to why you applied for a position for the company interviewed by.
    • How you will be able to contribute to the company after being accepted.
    • Personal strengths and weaknesses both as an individual and worker.
    • Your long-term goals. How you envision yourself in the future (5 years later)
  • Have a few questions ready to ask the interviewer in advance so that when you are asked whether you have any inquires, you will be able to gather vital information.
  • After the interview is over, express your appreciation by saying “Thank you”.
  • Finally, make sure to write a “Thank you mail” to the interviewer by mail or e-mail by including what you learned from the interview and once again expressing your gratitude for the interview appointment.
